If you were born before 22 September 1959, you could receive £100 to £300 this winter to help with heating bills.

How Much Could You Get?

£200 if you live alone and qualify

£100 if you live with someone else who qualifies

£150–£300 if you're 80 or older, depending on your situation

Not eligible if you live in a care home and receive certain benefits (e.g. Pension Credit)

Who Can Get It?

You must be State Pension age by 21 September 2025

You must live in the UK during the qualifying week

Income Over £35,000?

HMRC may recover the payment later

You can opt out by 15 September 2025 to avoid this

How It Works

Most people get the payment automatically in November or December
