Radland Road Community Garden Day
Staff from the Housing Office—Sam, Verity, Violet and Janine—spent a heart‑warming day with four local residents transforming the neglected community garden on Radland Road into a space full of life once again.
Under bright skies and warm weather, the group rolled up their sleeves to tackle long‑overdue weeding, clearing overgrowth, and planting new flowers and shrubs. What began as a practical volunteering session quickly became a day of shared stories, laughter, and teamwork. Residents and staff bonded over their horticultural tasks, enjoying the chance to connect outside of the usual day‑to‑day routines.
By the afternoon, the space looked refreshed and full of potential—thanks to everyone’s hard work and enthusiasm. More importantly, the day left us all feeling closer as a community. A huge thank‑you to the residents who joined us and helped make the garden something the whole neighbourhood can take pride in.
If you'd like to be involved in future community gardening days, keep an eye on upcoming newsletters—we’d love to see even more of you there!
