Radland Road Community Garden

Radland Road resident, Ana Umali, was a lucky recipient of one of our £500 Community Development grants, in support of the community garden behind her building. Below she tells us about her plans for the space:

My aim for the Radland Road Community Garden is to gradually restore it into a welcoming space, improving it one area at a time.

The focus for now is keeping up with the weeding, pruning, refreshing the greenhouse, as well as repairing the raised beds, and planting flowers, herbs and other pollinator  friendly plants.

As someone new to gardening, I’m learning as I go and have been grateful for support from experienced gardeners in the community. My hope is that the garden becomes a beautiful, well-cared-for space that brings people together and encourages everyone to enjoy and look after it.
