Another successful Christmas party at Ruscoe Road!

The team at Ruscoe are deservedly pleased with another Christmas cracker in their lounge on 10th December last year, Scheme Managers Holly and Patricia give us the lowdown:

The lounge was decorated especially for the occasion by our team at Ruscoe Road. We had the Beatles tribute act Like the Beatles making another appearance, using their own charity giving days from Solace in Business to perform to the residents and help raise money for our chosen charity. If you closed your eyes, you’d think they were the real deal! The band went down an absolute treat, playing countless golden oldies.

Head of Housing, Paul Williams, was our esteemed host for Play Your Cards Right and got everyone in the party mood. Next our guests played a round of bingo hosted by Housing Manager, Saeed, and it was all good fun! Even Santa Claus himself made an early stop, delivering sacksful of Christmas joy and making sure everyone went home with a goody bag.

This year we chose Save the Children’s Christmas Jumper Day Fund as our charity and raised over £200 from our generous guests and residents, thank you all for taking part!

We also want to send special thanks to volunteer Teresa who went above and beyond to help us put together the event. A big thank you also to other staff and volunteers, especially Viv, Lynn and Ange, who supported us throughout and always step up to help in any way they can!

Ruscoe Road is made up of amazing people, and we are very lucky to be able to work with them all, so with that said, we wish you all a Happy New Year from the Ruscoe Road Team!
