Got Bed Bugs? Bag Your Old Mattress for Collection!
If you're dealing with a bed bug infestation, you're not alone – and we're here to support you. One of the most important steps in tackling the issue is safely disposing of infested mattresses.
To help keep our community safe and prevent the spread of bed bugs, we’re asking all residents to:
Bag It Before You Bin It: If you're throwing out a mattress due to bed bugs, please seal it in a plastic mattress bag before placing it out for collection. This helps:
Prevent the spread of bed bugs to other homes
Protect our waste collection crews
Keep our streets clean and safe
You can find mattress disposal bags at most hardware stores or online. If you need help sourcing one, contact us and we’ll do our best to assist.
Book a Collection: Once your mattress is bagged, book a bulky waste collection via the office on 020 3701 3658 or canningtown@pinnaclegroup.co.uk. Please do not leave mattresses on the street without arranging a pickup.
Treat the Problem: disposing of the mattress is just one step. Make sure to:
Wash bedding and clothing on high heat
Vacuum thoroughly and regularly
